WICHITA, Kan. Fred VanVleet is back in Wichita hosting a two day youth basketball camp.
“It’s my second home, I got a lot of love for this place, lot of love for people here…just friends and family that I’ve grown close with over my four years here and I feel like it’s my job to come back and spend time with the community,” VanVleet explained.
The two day camp is open to boys and girls ages 7-18.
Saturday’s camp took place at the South Farha Sports Center and Sunday’s camp will take place at the Andover Farha Sports center from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
In VanVleet’s first year of hosting a camp in Wichita, he had the help of several former and current Shocker players.
“I want to make it an annual thing, schedules permitting. I’ll always try to find time to come back to Wichita,” VanVleet said.
