As ongoing drought continues to plague much of Kansas, the City of Wichita announced Thursday that it has begun conserving water and encourages residents to do the same.
Much-needed rain started coming down in Wichita on Thursday, and it’s expected that showers could last throughout the day and into parts of Friday when Riverfest kicks off in downtown Wichita.
Concerns about the level of Cheney Reservoir haven’t been an issue since the summer of 2013, but those concerns are on the table again due to the current drought.
