Care for mental health critically important for those affected by April 29 tornado

Thursday, May 12, was another mass volunteer day for tornado cleanup as hundreds of people showed up to again help to clear debris.

KWCH is partnering with the United Way of the Plains, Fidelity Bank, and Dillons to raise money for those impacted by the tornado.

Many people want to donate items to tornado victims in Sedgwick and Butler counties, but the problem is there's no place for them to go.

Sharon Waner lives in southeast Sedgwick County. On April 29, an EF-3 tornado destroyed the home the only home she's known for the last 42 years.
