2 people critically burned in west Wichita vehicle fire

Two people have suffered critical injuries in a vehicle fire in south Wichita.
Sedgwick County dispatchers said Monday it happened in the 10600 block of W. Ponderosa, near 13th and Maize Road, around 7:45 p.m.
The Wichita Fire Department said two people were preparing their camper when something caught fire.
Firefighters said both victims were transported to Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in critical condition.
The victims were able to put out the fire without the help of firefighters.
