KDOT to close Hydraulic at 29th Street North

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Both northbound and southbound Hydraulic Avenue at 29th Street North will be closed Friday, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

KDOT said the road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a bridge deck pour, which is part of ongoing construction in the area.

Traffic will be detoured throughout the day. Drivers needing access to southbound I-135 can travel north on Ohio Street, east on 37th Street and south on Hillside Avenue to westbound K-96, where they can continue to southbound I-135. 

KDOT urges drivers to plan for extra travel time and follow posted detour signs.
