Nine years later, still no suspect in Lori Heimer’s murder
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - For nine years, Lori Heimer’s family has been chasing tips on who killed her. On June 25, 2016, Heimer’s family found her murdered in her home in Assaria; they immediately called 911.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are both investigating the murder case. However, there have been no strong leads, and Heimer’s case remains at a standstill.
Heimer was a mother to four daughters, who text investigators whenever they think something could lead to the discovery of who killed their mom. Lynnsey Heimer said sometimes she even compares what she watches in true-crime documentaries, hoping it could help her mom’s case.
Heimer raised poodles. At first, investigators believed her murder was linked to her dog-breeding business. They asked clients who visited her in the five days before she was murdered to contact them.
