Man accused of offering drugs in exchange for his meal in Wendy’s drive-thru

CASTLE PINES, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) – A man in Colorado is accused of offering drugs in a Wendy’s drive-thru to pay for his meal.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the restaurant after the man tried to pay for his meal with drugs and showed employees a “white powdery substance resembling cocaine.”

The employee declined the drugs, and the man reportedly said he’d “wait for them if they changed their mind” and walked inside the restaurant.

Responding deputies located the man’s car and, in plain view, saw a “white powdery substance lined out on a cell phone.”

During a vehicle search, deputies said they found baggies for distribution and a scale.

The man is facing several charges, including:

• Unlawful distribution, manufacturing, dispensing, sale or possession
• Violation of a protection order
• Unlawful possession of controlled substances

His identity was not released.

“Fast food deals are supposed to come with fries, not felonies,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
