Man charged with first degree murder in downtown Wichita shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A man is charged with first degree murder in a deadly downtown Wichita shooting.

Kevin Buggs made a first appearance Tuesday afternoon. He is accused of killing Stevie Young.

The shooting happened just before noon on Sunday. Officers found Young near the downtown YMCA inside of his car with a gunshot wound. Police say the shooting happened near Third and Topeka.

Buggs was arrested a short time later. His bond is set at $2 million.
