10 years later: Lori Heimer’s murder investigation continues

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - It has been 10 years since Lori Heimer was found dead in her home in Assaria, Kansas, but her case is still not closed.
Since June 25, 2016 to present day, investigators with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation have tracked down hundreds of leads and followed up on any new tips that could lead to answering the question of ‘who killed Lori?’
However, 10 years later, the KBI says there have been no major leads but they hope that coverage of the anniversary may generate a new one in the murder case.
At the time of her death, Heimer operated Lori’s Poodle Patch, a dog breeding business from her home. Throughout the investigation, authorities have sought information from anyone who had contact with Heimer through her dog business specifically in June 2016.

The Salina/Saline County Crime Stoppers has a reward active for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Lori’s murderer.
Additionally, Lori’s family has raised private funds for this purpose. If a credible tip is received, the KBI would consider it for the reward.
