Fugitive wanted in Argentine model’s murder arrested in US

DESCHUTES COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV/Gray News) - An Argentine man wanted for his girlfriend’s murder was arrested in Oregon on Thursday.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Juan Manuel Reverter is the primary suspect in the death of 31-year-old Agostina Jalabert, an Argentine model.

Jalabert was found dead on Feb. 18, 2023, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Investigators said Reverter killed Jalabert before staging her body to make it look like a suicide.

Several agencies worked together to take Reverter into custody.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Interpol Washington, Homeland Security and Border Patrol investigators assisted in the arrest.

Authorities did not release any further information about the case.
