WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita Fire Department firefighters dressed as characters like Spider-Man and Wolverine visited patients in the pediatric and burn units at Via Christi St. Francis hospital Thursday.

The firefighters went up in a ladder truck to visit the patients.

“It’s a big deal to us. We’re really excited to be here. We’re happy to be here. We look forward to it every year. We’ve done it not only for Halloween but Christmas events, so definitely a big deal to see smiles on these kids’ faces,” Capt. Daniel Houser of the Wichita Fire Department said.

The firefighters also brought gifts for all of the children.
