Democrats choose Mary Ware to replace Lt. Gov.-elect Lynn Rogers in Senate

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) The Sedgwick County Democratic Party has chosen Mary Ware to fill Lt. Gov.-elect Lynn Rogers former state Senate seat.

The 25th Senate District Vacancy Convention was held Saturday afternoon at the Service Employees International Union.


Ware ran alongside Sebastian Snow, Dan Stiffler, Ty Tabing, and Kelly Schodorf. She secured the Senate seat by winning the votes of ten electors.

Last week, committee members from Gov.-elect Laura Kelly's Topeka-area district chose representative Vic Miller to fill Kelly's senate seat.
