2 men arrested for first-degree murder after man found dead near Bel Aire

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) Monday, December 2, 2019

Two men were arrested and booked in the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility in relation to the homicide of Christian Hernandez.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says 30-year-old Efrain Daniel Arroyo II and 33-year-old Thomas Ray Armstrong were both booked on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and first-degree murder.

The sheriff's office says deputies also located the white sedan it was searching for in connection with the case.

The sheriff's office says Hernandez's death is still under investigation.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who was found dead near Bel Aire as 30-year-old Christian Osvaldo Hernandez.

A passerby found Hernandez's body lying next to the road in the 12000 block of E. 45th St. N. around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said Hernandez had a gunshot wound. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators are looking for a white sedan in reference to this case.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide after a man's body was found Wednesday morning.

The sheriff's office says around 7:30 a.m., a passerby found a Hispanic man lying next to the road near the train tracks in the 12000 block of east 45th Street North.

Deputies responded and noticed a gunshot to the man’s body. He was pronounced dead by paramedics on the scene.

The man was approximately 25 to 30 years old.
