Team Colorado sweeps Kansas TBT teams, wins Wichita Regional

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Team Colorado entered the TBT as a 5-seed, but from the beginning of the tournament they left their mark on the Wichita Regional. Team Colorado topped Kansas State’s alumni team, “Purple Reign”, Wichita State’s alumni team, “the Aftershocks”, and Kansas’ alumni team, “Mass Street” Wednesday night to advance in the tournament.

After Team Colorado jumped out to a 8-0 run to begin the game, the teams battled back and forth until the former Buffaloes led by eight at halftime. The former Jayhawks flipped the momentum almost immediately in the 2nd half, taking a lead into the 4th quarter. Mass Street even led by seven points at the four-minute mark, but Team Colorado stormed on a 15-5 run to end the game, winning 84-81.

Frank Mason led the way for Mass Street scoring 25 points, with 14 of them coming in the 1st half. Dedric Lawson (16), Sam Cunliffe (12), LeGerald Vick (11) and Billy Preston (10) all finished in double digits as well in the loss.
