WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A 23-year-old Wichita man faces more than two decades in prison in a robbery case connected with a shooting that killed two people nearly three years ago. On Nov. 1, the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office said Brandon Prouse, Jr. pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery. The judge sentenced him to 216 months for the crime and an additional 74 months (six years, two months) for violating probation on two earlier counts, the DA’s Office explained.

Prouse’s plea followed a life sentence handed down to a co-defendant in September. The DA’s Office said a judge sentenced Justin Macormac to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 71 years after he pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, attempted second-degree murder and two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm.

The Sedgwick County DA’s Office said in February of 2022, Macormac shot and killed Bonnie Galloway and Connor O’Callahghan in a shed in the 2200 block of South Erie, in south Wichita. Police said Galloway and O’Callaghan had been living in the shed.

“Prouse was with Macormac and both victims (during) the evening of the shooting,” the DA’s Office said.
