School bus struck by truck in Douglas County

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Sixteen school children narrowly missed getting struck by a vehicle in Douglas County Wednesday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the children were about to load the stopped school bus near US-56 and K-33 when it was struck from behind by a truck.
There were no injuries to the children, and the truck driver only reported minor injuries.

In a Facebook post, the Kansas Highway Patrol said this is “a stark reminder of the importance of paying attention while driving, ditching all distractions, and focusing on the road.”
