WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita firefighters are investigating what sparked a fire at a west Wichita business early Wednesday morning.
Crews were called out around 4:30 a.m. to a State Farm insurance office near Freeman and North Ridge Road. When firefighters arrived, they reported seeing smoke coming from the building and forced their way inside.
Firefighters found a large fire and were able to put it out, but not before it caused extensive damage to the interior of the business.
No injuries were reported.
Northbound traffic on Ridge Road is reduced to one lane while crews work to clear the scene.
