Phil Rodriguez

Phil joined KY3 in 2026 as a multimedia journalist. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK. While in school, he anchored the college newscast, UCentral News, at the news desk for a year, also serving as a sports anchor and producing and writing multiple segments for the broadcast.

This is the first time Phil has lived outside of Oklahoma, but he’s enthusiastic to plant roots in Missouri and Springfield with his wife, Hailey, and his three kids: Tucker, Ember and Baker (“BOOMER!”).

Phil is sports-obsessed, as in he’ll talk your ear off about everything from how the Thunder got a raw deal in the 2026 Western Conference Finals, all the way to why Ken O’Brien is secretly the greatest New York Jets quarterback post-Joe Namath. He plans on attending a multitude of Springfield Cardinals games, so look for him there!

He’s also a musician and avid music fan who loves exchanging obscure bands you should check out. He says he’s not currently in a band but plays drums and sings (if anyone is interested).
