Judge: Beheading suspect not competent to stand trial

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) A judge ruled that Rachael Hilyard, a woman charged in the beheading death of 63-year-old Micki Davis was found not competent to stand trial.

Police say they found Hilyard hiding in a Wichita home in April. In that home, they said they also found Davis' body with her head detached.

Officers say she was attacked with a knife. Hilyard was immediately arrested.

Back in October 2017, Eyewitness told you she was undergoing a second mental evaluation. .

Hilyard wrote letters from jail detailing an exorcism . she said happened at her home. She also drew pictures depicting different Christian denominations and talked about how she believes she was potentially a victim of a type of hypnosis. These letters were addressed to the judge.

Hilyard has been charged with first-degree murder in the case.
