Man arrested following domestic disturbance, high-speed chase in McPherson

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The McPherson Police Department arrested a man following a domestic dispute and high-speed chase on Wednesday.
Officers were called to the dispute on Wednesday near Northview Road. When they arrived, the victim told them her husband had left.
Officers found the man’s vehicle near North Main Street and the chase ensued reaching speeds over 70 mph in a 35 mph zone.
The chase ended when the man crashed his vehicle into a fire hydrant at the intersection of Woodside and Main Street.
Police said the man got out of the vehicle, made threats and confronted officers. Officers used a taser on the man and arrested him.
The man was treated for minor injuries and later taken to jail. He faces multiple charges including domestic battery, felony flee and elude and battery on a law enforcement officer.
