Goddard man killed in hunting accident near Burrton
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office said a 41-year-old Goddard man died from his injuries in a weekend hunting accident south of Burrton. The sheriff’s office said it concluded its investigation and determined that Aaron Snook died after an accidental shooting. The Goddard man died at the scene.
Deputies responded to the emergency call a little after 7 a.m. Saturday in the 8200 block of South Prairie Lake Road. The sheriff’s office provided the following account of what happened:
“Reports indicated three people were hunting in a duck blind when one individual accidentally discharged a shotgun. The gunshot fatally wounded one hunter. No one else was injured.”
