Wichita Global Fanzone brings World Cup watch parties, music, and giveaways to Naftzger Park

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Empower, a local nonprofit, is bringing the World Cup excitement to Wichita with the Wichita Global Fanzone at Naftzger Park on June 11–12.

Organizers Ida and Sally say visitors can expect two days of soccer watch parties, plus food vendors, live music, performances, and soccer-themed activities. They’ll also be giving away over 1,000 pieces of official FIFA gear, including pins, stickers, and scarves, along with giveaways from groups like FC Wichita and Sporting KC.

The event will feature multiple match watch parties, including Mexico vs. South Africa and USA vs. Paraguay, with a World Cup ticket giveaway on the line. Empower says the goal is to raise funds to help support local entrepreneurs by bringing in crowds, tourism, and spending to the area.
