Dexter Dennis joins McDuffie on 2026 Aftershocks roster

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita State’s alumni team in The Basketball Tournament, the Aftershocks announced that Dexter Dennis will join the roster for their best-of-three series against The Enchantment, a team of New Mexico alumni.

Dennis joins Markis McDuffie as the team’s first two roster commitments. Additional players will be announced in the coming weeks.

This summer’s tournament will be the first time Dennis has appeared for AfterShocks.

Dennis played at Wichita State from 2018-22 before transferring to Texas A&M for his final year of eligibility. While at Wichita State, Dennis started 128 of 146 games, earned AAC All-Freshman Team honors in 2019 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

After turning pro, Dennis spent part of his rookie season on a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks. The 27-year-old spent the last two seasons with the G League’s Stockton Kings.

All three games of the series will be played at Koch Arena. The first game is scheduled for July 20, at 7 p.m. and will be televised on FS1. Game 2 is scheduled for July 23 at 8 p.m., and will be televised on FS2.

Game 3, if necessary, will be played on July 24, at 8 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on FS2.
