WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - While the 2026-27 college basketball season is still months away, KU and K-State fans can now start circling matchups on their team’s schedules. Thursday afternoon the Big 12 Conference released the opponent pairings for the upcoming season.

KANSAS MEN’S BASKETBALL

- The Jayhawks will play rival Kansas State, Baylor and Iowa State in home-and-away matchups this coming conference season.

- KU will play BYU, Houston and Arizona all on the road in 2027.

KANSAS STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL

- While K-State will play KU twice the upcoming year in the Sunflower Showdown, they will play Iowa State in the Farmegeddon rivalry just once and on the road in Ames.

- K-State’s three home-and-away series include rival KU, Arizona State and two matchups against Cincinnati, a team now lead by a reported former Kansas State head coach candidate Jerrod Calhoun.

- The Wildcats will get potentially their first matchup against Jerome Tang (now an assistant coach again at Baylor University) this upcoming conference season, but it won’t be in Manhattan. K-State will play Baylor on the road in Waco.

KANSAS WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

- KU will most notably get two matchups against Oklahoma State, a team that will be slated as one of the top teams in the country after this offseason - one at home and one on the road.

- The trio of home-and-away games the Jayhawks get include K-State, Iowa State and Oklahoma State.

KANSAS STATE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

- While K-State men’s basketball won’t get two matchups against Iowa State, such is not the case on the women’s side. The Wildcats will play both a home and away game against the Cyclones this coming season.

- K-State will play home and away games against KU, Iowa State and Baylor.

- The Wildcats will only travel to Stillwater to take on Kansas native Jaycie Hoyt and Oklahoma State this coming year.
